The winner of Guess that Aardvark is Daryl Fuz who correctly guessed his brother Jeff was the mystery Aardvark. Daryl wins an all inclusive trip with Jeff to Bangalore, India to celebrate Raksha Bandhan, a festival that celebrates the love and duty between brothers.

Interviewer: Rate the following activities in order from most important to least important: watching TV, playing hockey, going on vacation, washing dishes and mowing grass.

Aardvark in question: Hockey, mowing grass, watching TV, vacation and washing dishes. The dish soap makes my hands too soft.

Interviewer: What is your favourite pre-rec game meal?

Aardvark in question: A&W Teen Burger.

Interviewer:  How many rolls of sock tape do you go through in a rec season?

Aardvark in question: Not many. Usually just borrow from Gunner.

Interviewer: Who was your favourite hockey player growing up?

Aardvark in question: Steve Yzerman. I admired how he played his final few years with bad knees and still produced. I know from painful experience that it is difficult.

Interviewer: What member of the Aardvarks reminds you most of a NHLer from  past or present?

Aardvark in question: Travis Bobbee reminds me of Tyson Barrie. Both excellent puck movers.

Interviewer: What is your greatest hockey moment?

Aardvark in question: Winning the MMJHL  Hockey Hutch Player of the Week Award in the 96-97 season. I tallied 4 goals and 3 assists on a Sunday afternoon against the Portage Terriers. I can’t remember if I was drunk, hungover or just normal. But, it was an honour.

Interviewer: Where should the Aardvarks hold training camp for the upcoming 2017-18 season?

Aardvark in question: MTS Centre. I am sure we would draw a couple thousand dedicated ‘Vark fans.

Interviewer: What is your least favourite arena to play in? What is your favourite arena to play in?

Aardvark in question: Arborg is my favourite. Gimli is my least. Too humid. Makes my hair curly.

Aardvark in question: Hockey, grocery shopping, shovelling snow, watching TV and picking potato bugs. Those bugs really stain your hands.

Interviewer: What is your favourite pre-rec game meal?

Aardvark in question: BBQ ribs. Pork or Beef.

Interviewer:  How many times do you wash your towel a rec season?

Aardvark in question: Wash it after every game.

Interviewer: Who was your favourite hockey player growing up?

Aardvark in question: I had a few in my day, but I really enjoyed watching Mike Shachtay. I admired his good defensive stick.

Interviewer: What member of the Aardvarks reminds you most of a NHLer from  past or present?

Aardvark in question: Jayde Barkman reminds me of Darren Pang. They have identical career GAAs.

Interviewer: Which Aardvark is most likely to star in a Hollywood film?

Aardvark in question: Jeff Fuz. He is clutch in big time situations. I can picture his Hollywood Walk of Fame star right next to Tom Cruise’s.

Interviewer: What is your best hockey moment?

Aardvark in question: Best hockey moment was witnessing Gunner Gislason score 4 goals in the must win against the Rifles 4 years ago. I was very proud of him that night.

Interviewer: What is your least favourite arena to play in? What is your favourite arena to play in?

Aardvark in question: All the rinks have a positive. Riverton has fast ice, Arborg has good fries…

Aardvark in question: Hockey, watching TV, grocery shopping, going on vacation, greasing wheel bearings. I don’t like dealing with the grease gun.

Interviewer: What is your favourite pre-rec game meal?

Aardvark in question: Probably would be a large ham and pineapple pizza from Chicken Chef.

Interviewer:  How many times do you sharpen your skates in a rec hockey season?

Aardvark in question: Normally around 4-5 times a year. Depending how much change I have kickin’ around.

Interviewer: What is your greatest non-hockey talent?

Aardvark in question: My greatest non-hockey talent is dismounting and mounting a tire faster than anybody else in town.

Interviewer: What member of the Aardvarks reminds you most of a NHLer from  past or present?

Aardvark in question: Caleb Kanteluk for sure reminds me of Tomas Holmstrom in his prime. He’s got those good hands in tight around the net.

Interviewer: Which Aardvark is most likely to star in a Hollywood film?

Aardvark in question: I imagine Cory Johannesson could star in a movie about Alexander Burmistrov’s career as a professional ice hockey player. They share many similar real life experiences.

Interviewer: What is your best hockey moment?

Aardvark in question: Best hockey moment by far would be signing my contract with the Arborg Aardvarks. No doubt about it!

Interviewer: What is your least favourite arena to play in? What is your favourite arena to play in?

Aardvark in question: Ashern barn was the absolute worst to play in. You froze and couldn’t see from one end of the rink to the other. Best arena easily is Riverton. Fastest ice in the Interlake!

Aardvark in question: Hockey, watching TV, shovelling snow, grocery shopping, drinking milk. Milk is for children not grown men!

Interviewer: What is your favourite pre-rec game meal?

Aardvark in question: A nice thick salami sandwich, one cheese slice and mustard – pure gold.

Interviewer:  How many times do you tape your stick in a rec hockey season?

Aardvark in question: I tape my stick every three games. I see guys taping their blades before every game. Kinda gets me thinking, those guys are made of money. Totally unnecessary.

Interviewer: What Aardvark ‘AP’ is most likely to crack the line-up on a full time basis?

Aardvark in question: I have a feeling one day Scott Bobbee will come to his senses and suit up full time for the ‘Varks and ditch those aging old Shooters.

Interviewer: What member of the Aardvarks reminds you most of a NHLer from  past or present?

Aardvark in question: I have two guys for this one, first off our newcomer Travis Bobbee reminds me of a young Rob Blake, a solid D man and I know he wouldn’t be scared to throw out a dirty hip check if the game was out of hand. And second, it has be Cory. He reminds me of Alexander Burmistrov, ton of skill but no brains!.

Interviewer: Which Aardvark should be the most concerned during next month’s trade deadline?

Aardvark in question: The way Cory has been playing as of late I definitely think he’s gotta be worried. He’s just not finishing like he should be, I think age is catching up to him

Interviewer: If the Aardvarks could afford a Christmas getaway, where would they go?

Aardvark in question: Vegas, definitely Vegas – gambling, drinking, strippers. Would almost be like heaven for the boys!

Interviewer: What is your least favourite arena to play in? What is your favourite arena to play in?

Aardvark in question: As a kid I dreaded having to play in the old Ashern barn. I would have to say playing in a packed house at the Arborg arena was the most fun atmosphere I played in!

Aardvark in question: Shopping, hockey, watching TV, washing dishes, walking dogs. I find dogs lack intelligence.

Interviewer: What is your favourite pre-rec game meal?

Aardvark in question: Pulled pork and pickles on top of macaroni and cheese.

Interviewer:  How many times do you sharpen your skates in a rec hockey season?

Aardvark in question: One. The ice is slippery enough.

Interviewer: What song do you hum to yourself when you are on a breakaway?

Aardvark in question: I am panicking, not humming a song.

Interviewer: What member of the Aardvarks reminds you most of a NHLer from  past or present?

Aardvark in question: Cory reminds me of Nikolaj Ehlers. Both have good speed.

Interviewer: How do you keep fit during the off-season?

Aardvark in question: By drinking tons of tea.

Interviewer: If the Aardvarks could afford a team bonding getaway, where would they go?

Aardvark in question: Italy. To eat some proper pasta.

Interviewer: What is your least favourite arena to play in? What is your favourite arena to play in?

Aardvark in question: Nottingham is my favourite. Cardiff’s old Big Blue Tent is my least. The dressing room looked like a bomb shelter and the [lack of] ice there wrecked my skates!
