“Which Aardvark best resembles 2016 Hockey Hall of Fame inductee Sergei Makarov” poll results

Congratulations to Aardvark’s forward, Jeff Fuz, on receiving 29% of the votes for which Aardvark best resembles 2016 Hall of Fame inductee Sergei Makarov.

Like Makarov, Fuz can gracefully float into the offensive zone without being touched, setting up anyone who has an inch of space between them and a defender. Jeff is known as Fuzarov in the opposing IRHL dressing rooms.

Thanks to all of those that participated. Make sure to cast your vote in the next Aardvark poll.

Guess that Aardvark #6

It’s time to play Guess that Aardvark!

guessthataardvarklogo

How it works…simple…we ask a series of questions to a particular Aardvark…you examine their answers…and you tell us who it is! If you guess that Aardvark correctly, you will receive a complimentary autograph!

Need a reminder of our players? Have a look at the roster.

OK…here we go!

Interviewer: Rate the following activities in order from most important to least important: washing dishes, hockey, walking dogs, shopping and watching TV.

Aardvark in question: Shopping, hockey, watching TV, washing dishes, walking dogs. I find dogs lack intelligence.

Interviewer: What is your favourite pre-rec game meal?

Aardvark in question: Pulled pork and pickles on top of macaroni and cheese.

Interviewer:  How many times do you sharpen your skates in a rec hockey season?

Aardvark in question: One. The ice is slippery enough.

Interviewer: What song do you hum to yourself when you are on a breakaway?

Aardvark in question: I am panicking, not humming a song.

Interviewer: What member of the Aardvarks reminds you most of a NHLer from  past or present?

Aardvark in question: Cory reminds me of Nikolaj Ehlers. Both have good speed.

Interviewer: How do you keep fit during the off-season?

Aardvark in question: By drinking tons of tea.

Interviewer: If the Aardvarks could afford a team bonding getaway, where would they go?

Aardvark in question: Italy. To eat some proper pasta.

Interviewer: What is your least favourite arena to play in? What is your favourite arena to play in?

Aardvark in question: Nottingham is my favourite. Cardiff’s old Big Blue Tent is my least. The dressing room looked like a bomb shelter and the [lack of] ice there wrecked my skates!

Interviewer: Thank you for your time!

Aardvark in question: That’s alright.

To play, fill in the form below. Good luck!

“Which Aardvark will be the first to crack the 100 point mark this 2016/2017 season” poll results

Congratulations to Aardvark’s forward, Gunner Gislason, on receiving 32% of the votes for which Aardvark will be the first to crack the 100 point mark this 2016/2017 season.

It will be a tall order for Gislason to reach the 100 point mark with such tough competition this year. But to add some punch to his wrist shot, Gislason tried a new rhubarb and onion diet during the off-season.

Thanks to all of those that participated. Make sure to cast your vote in the next Aardvark poll.
